#4 One Picture… One Word

I am happy to announce that every day I will be posting a Disney or General Florida picture on the blog. Here is the assignment folks: the minute you see the picture, I want you to tell us the FIRST word that comes into your head. Think emotions, family moments, whatever pops in your head when you see the picture. Keep it clean and let’s have a bit of fun with the magic.Post it in the comment section on the blog so everyone can see what others came up with- enjoy!

Welcome Back Orange Bird!

D23 had a “Tweet Meet” at the Magic Kingdom today where they had Cast Members, Imagineers, and Artists speak about why they brought Orange Bird back. It was a great event, and coincidentally my first D23 gathering!

I hung out with new and old friends and had my first citrus swirl- delicious.  The event gave samples to everyone, along with oranges and sippers to use with the oranges. They also  premiered some wonderful merchandise, and I wound up picking up the sippy cup and the green t-shirt ($24.95). The word is, is that the shirts won’t be around long, so pick yours up ASAP. You can find them in the Agrabah Bazaar which is right across from the Sunshine Tree Terrace. The sippy cup can be found right at the Sunshine Tree Terrace which costs around $7 and I had Coke in mine- yes, an expensive soda, but a great souvenier for home. I gave mine to Emily who was thrilled to recieve it. The print was also availble to purchase now, but the ears won’t make an appearance until this summer in the Park stores.

To view the history of Orange Bird, see their D23 video HERE. I was honored to meet all these fine Cast Members and Employees who work very hard to bring us all the magic. You can also see Orange Bird on the way in or out of the Magic Kingdom by checking out the attraction posters under the Train Station. Welcome back Orange Bird, great to see you again!

On a side note, I finally got to see “The Avengers” Monorail and was lucky enough to ride in it as well. It was a beautiful day at the Magic Kingdom yesterday and I had some much needed relaxation I was in desperate need of. Here are a couple of the shots I took while I roamed on my own. Have a great day!

Did You Know?

Did you know there is more than one place to pick up those ever-so-coveted Sorcerer cards?  Found only in the Magic Kingdom, most pick them up right as they walk in at the Fire Station in the front of the Park. Most don’t know that there is a SECOND place to find them, saving you time in line, which is located in Liberty Square behind the Christmas Shop. It is rarely busy, and is also a quiet spot to trade with others. Enjoy and happy hunting!
