My experiences with scrapbooking have been that it is like writing or any other art form I create; the mood has to strike me, and I have to really WANT to do it. I don’t know how many times I descended into my scrapbook room in the basement, paper out, tools ready, and I just stared into the blank abyss that was my basement. Usually, like blogging, pictures are what ignite the creation part of my soul and brain, and so I would pull out the Disney pile and thumb through.

This next layout I am sharing is another labor of love because it took a bit of drawing. My dad and daughters can draw AMAZINGLY well, my mom can paint circles around me, but I was never strong in either category. Everything starts with an idea, so I thought I would recreate the scene of the 101 Dalmatians area that we had so much fun with. The girls loved playing here every time we walked to our room, so much that it became a staple in future vacations. I hand drew the Dalmatian, the tv, and the carpet looks like the one that is really in front of the tv in that section.
