My Disney Scrapbook Pages: Downtown Disney
As long as I can remember, I have loved shopping the Disney shopping district. First when it was Disney Marketplace and Pleasure Island, then Downtown Disney, which then became what is now known as Disney Springs today. It was such a genius idea for everyone to have the opportunity to buy Disney merchandise without having to go into the Parks. Now, specific Park merch can only be bought IN the Parks, but these days they seem to have swayed more into the “General” merch line that is in all of the Parks and Disney Springs.
Our family would go to Downtown Disney usually at the end of our trip, a tactic we used to practice good habits for waiting on something to make sure we really wanted it. Also, it worked when the girls would beg for something in the Parks and we would just say “Let’s wait until Downtown Disney where we can really shop at the end of the week.” And yes, it always worked. They knew they could pick something out eventually and we would have a “get out of jail free” card when they started to crave a toy in the Parks. Again, when it was Park specific, we would pick it up that same day. But more than not, they were really good about waiting until the end.

The scrapbook pages below really made themselves, which I love an easy layout- don’t you? It seems like when they have an embellishment pack like this, with the title and doo dads that match, it just all comes together so perfectly. I don’t know about you, but I am a fan of cutting out things from the Disney guide maps and adding them to my pages. Here you will see I did that with the Downtown Disney shopping bag- which is pretty cool to see now since it’s no longer called that anymore. I didn’t journal, funny since I am a travel blogger now, but I either felt it when I did or was just happy to get the pages done and in the book. All I can say about the memories of these pictures is the happiness I felt playing with my family in the shopping area. Check out more of my Disney creations HERE and HERE. A new layout will be shown each week, so make sure to follow me by subbing to this blog or follow The Relocated Tourist on Facebook or Twitter.
