My Disney Scrapbook Pages… Hoop Dee Doo Revue

Raised on the show “Hee-Haw” and the likes of John Denver and Dolly Parton, the quirkiness of the Cowboy melodic tales is very familiar to me. So when I hear about this dinner show, nay, experience at Disney World, I had to check it out for myself. Located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness, one of my favorite Disney Resorts, this fun time meals sits right at home amongst the sweet smells of campfires all around. The first time I did it, I believe I was with Monica Francis (Paul). We had a GREAT time and it was fun getting to know her and do something new.

Second time I went was with Craig, and it was just as fun. Craig, he doesn’t like anything like this. If there is anything in a dinner experience where there is ANY chance he will be picked for participation, he slowly starts to shrink into the floorboards. Thankfully we were on the second floor, and even though the actors come up there for birthday announcements and such, we were in the clear for being chosen for anything of the Hee-Haw kind.

Honestly, in the words from the movie “Ever After” – I am only here for the food.  Fried chicken in pails with large quantities of sides and strawberry shortcake? A thousand times yes! I want it now, great. I am eating clean for my race coming up, and it sucks, and now all I want it strawberry shortcake. I will have to make sure I get a piece somewhere on property during Race week.

These scrapbook pages show off our fun times at the Hoop Dee Doo that Craig loves to call “Whoop Dee Doo” which I think he missed that that’s the joke about the name LOL. He had a good time, despite his protest about the place. I can tell you we haven’t been back, I hope to be but it’s ok, I will go with a girlfriend instead. 😊 Enjoy the pages!
